Google Play Newsstand now available in India

Google also opened the Newsstand section in the Play Store in the country, with free one year subscription to paid content. Users can now access paid content from newspapers and magazines this essentially means they can buy and subscribe for premium news sources like The New York Times, WSJ ,etc. Prior to this update, paid content in Newsstands was only available in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Germany, Italy, and France. Google made this announcement yesterday along with the launch of Android One smartphones in India. The company also announced offline mode for YouTube in the country.But India is not the only country to get the Newsstand option; it is now also available in Netherlands, Russia, and Spain.
